I have some RB here with a problem that I can’t find a solution.
I connect the netinstall, it recognizes normal, but when I click on install, nothing happens, and after about 5 seconds it comes back as if I had not clicked on anything, if I try again the problem continues, it does not reset nor install the new firmware .
the only message that appears is the sending offer … and then it disappears.
can someone help me?
make sure you selected the package file (.npk)
I usually place the package file in same folder as netinstall.exe
i couldn’t get netinstall to get past “sending offer” text in windows 10, i think that’s what you’re getting.
I selected the .npk file, clicked “install”, netinstall said “Sending offer…”, the “ready” text near the router would disappear and after 10 seconds reappear and nothing happened
I tried on two different windows 10 machines and I:
disabled firewall
ran netinstall as administrator
ran netinstall with windows 7 / windows xp compatibility
disabled all the other adapters
i got it working first try on an old laptop running xp sp3 logged in as administrator with disabled firewall, .npk file in the same folder of netinstall .exe
netinstall version was 6.46.7 (long term) on a smips router
i was connected through a switch
