rb or ccr

Hi, i’m going to upgrade my 2011uias with a RB1100AHx2 or CCR1009-8G-1S for a further setup, something like 2 isp 200Mbps dl / 32Mbps up, l2tp+ipsec and pptp, some fw and queues / bandwith limitation rules.. which one to choose? Will the ahx2 handle that without problems?

1k1ah2 would.
but price/wise and feature/wise similary-priced CCR1009 was WAY more sane purchase. also mind the RB1100ah2 age/status(EoL soon).
also check RB1200 probably.

Or maybe a dual core x86?

I would go 1100AHx2. It is a more stable platform than CCR and
“supports hardware encryption”. So you will see better ipsec results.

well, towday users can get quad core quite cold chips for price/size typical for dual-core 86xchips, soldered onboard, 2 years ago or so.
like intel J, AMD Kabini and etc. Beema &etc.
but generally RB devices isn’t bad at all. you just had to pick which one RIGHT FOR YOU purposes.
personally more like CCR1016(CCR1009 chip more suited for five-ports devices with 1Gb wire speed on all ports with full routing, than for absent/misconfigured setup with double throughput and extra/redundant 5 more ports).

Anyone??
