Depends on what you’re doing. Are you doing lots of encryption (SSL? IPSec?), or do you need the fastest possible processor? Then the RB1000 is probably better. The RB1100 has the two built in switch-chips, though, so if you can make use of them you get wirespeed switching at 1Gbps without any CPU penalty whatsoever.
