64Mb is big enough to store a lot of users database.

The CF support is coming soon, but how many users do you have if 64Mb wasn’t enough?
hi,
is UM on CF now supported ? if yes how can i use it ?
thanks
Jan
No, currently it’s not supported.
Well many months after owning a RB1000 i am back to the same old problem, that is no free space!
So i have a 61.4MB of total space with 0% free.
I have deleted all logs and still no free space.
Remove some of the packages - already done
Upgrade the OS and use a CF card you say, no can do - you need to space to upgrade the OS you see.
I have no more than 300 users, with around 50,000 session logs (do session logs really take up that much space?)
Does anyone know of a script that will remove sessions that are older than say three months?
rigt now i am tediously deleting 1000 at a time of the oldest sessions.
Please help i am getting RSI

Might be time to look at this one please MT
It is possible to set User Manager to save data on external media.
For example, you can add Compact Flash adapter to RB1000,
/store add disk=CF1 type=user-manager activate=yes
All the data will be saved on Compact Flash adapter.
I already have a CF card in there being used by the cache (not running at the moment) under /store/ i get both the web-proxy and the user-manager as being active this is causing an error when i try to set edit the disk to CF1
thanks.
OK for anyone following this thread.
go into store and copy any active user-manager store, before saving change the disk to CF1 and tick activate.
I had to do this a couple of times as the the logs were reporting a failed copy.
this should at lease sort you out long enough for MT to improve this feature. i figure with an 8GB flash and the logs being deleted now via scrip ive probibly got a year and a half before disk is full and users are unable to connect.
Cheers.
by chance does anyone now no how to clean the system disk as its still saying its got %0 free.
I can see under store that there is a clean disk option for both the system and CF drives but im not game enough to find out what would happen if i clean the system drive (warning all data will be lost! clean anyway?
Remove all unused packages from the router and erase all the documents from /files menu.
does anyone know if under v4 we are able to store UM data on CF?
My RB1000 reports that user-manager is active on CF1, it seems this is not correct, can anyone confirm they are using the CF?
cheers
