RB1100: Ports gets disabled when they shouldn't be...

My setup is like this.

Port 1 - Internet
Port 2 to 9 - LAN (Bridged up)

When i disable a port inside the bridge, lets say Port 3, Port 2 gets disabled as well.
It first shows “XR” on the port that i disabled and then i lose connections to the router on the rest of the ports. EG: 2,3,4,5,6,7…
It only happened after upgraded to OS 5.1

PS: I dun think i can call it “disabled” but i have no other better words to describe it… I disable a certain port and the rest of the ports just stop working…

Any idea?

Does this happen when you disable any other bridge port? It is very likely that you are disabling the port bridge inherits its MAC address from. Try to set static MAC address for this bridge:

admin-mac=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx auto-mac=no

Is forwarding traffic affected as well?

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply.

It happens no matter which port i disable in the bridge. 2,3,4,5,6 etc… As long as i disable one of them, the others stop working.
I have to hard reboot the router in order to gain connectivity again.
I didn’t change any settings recently. Only that i upgraded to 5.1 about 2weeks ago.

I see that 5.2 is out today. Will upgrade to 5.2 to see if its still the same.

Previously on the 5.0 beta versions i could do this,

A machine is on Port 2, which is in the bridge.
I can disable Port 2 and stop it’s connection but the rest of the ports still have connectivity.
Thats on 5.0 beta till 5.1.
It stopped working like this after i upgraded to 5.1.
