RB1100

Hey guys this is my first post here and was looking for some advice hope i put it in the right section.

I work for Local Phone company and have recently took over a WISP that has 300 customers they are using old outdate equipment, I am getting them more bandwidth from our town here within a week or so. At the same time i want to upgrade their band width manager, DHCP server, and do some QOS, and be the main router? Can the RB1100 do all of these plus some? Im looking at buying the extra 1.5Gbs with it. Or have i read wrong on all of the info out on the net about the MikroTik? The other techs that are going to help me on the switch over do not want to use this as all three devices because they think it wont work right and they dont want to relay on just this device, They dont think it will be stable enough? are they right? in the future after i get the okay and everything is smooth i plan on getting another RB1100 and haveing it as a back up with incase it does crash.

Any Thoughts or comments that can help me out?

The RB1100 should do all of this very well but as everyone knows, running an ISP is all about uptime.

You might want to buy a training router first as a proof of concept and to convince your peers of that the product has merit. An RB450G would be good for training and probably have enough power to replace your RB1100 in case of a failure.

Then you can experiment and test QOS and BW managing on the RB450G before applying it to your core router.

Thank You Roc-Noc for your reply. And I acctually have a 450G comming for another project of mine that i can delay and use to prove to my peers. and just noticed that you are a vendor so this week i will be giving you a call and placing a order.
