We have recently upgraded our backhaul network, and I am in the process of making sure everything connects at 1 gig. We upgraded the firmware on our existing RB1100AH unit to 6.27 , and port 13 (Internet connection) will still not connect at 1 gig , although it shows that it is advertising, and has the capability to do so. We have another RB1100AH (a little newer unit), on the bench, that is connecting with 1 gig on Port 13 as it is supposed to.
If I remember, I saw a post somewhere that a shorter length of the jumper cable between the router and the upstream might not allow it to connect at 1 gig ? (Connected with shielded Cat5 cable - 6 inches long)
Was there a hardware problem with older RB1100 AH boards on 1 gig connections?
(Also can’t get Flow Control to go on)
Or any other possible problem ?
thanks, wayne
