Hi, i have RB1100ahx2 which is acting as capsman for all my caps. I have added also hap ax2 which has wave2 drivers and i also want to control this one as i do with other caps. How can this be achieved?
There was talks quite a while ago that there will be some upgrade available that will handle both drivers, old one and the wave2. What is the status of that?
It is already functioning as capsman for legacy access points ?
Upgrade to 7.13 or later, add wireless package if not already done by upgrade process and it can still work as capsman for legacy devices.
To be configured via wireless/ capsman menu.
Hooks for capsman for AX devices are present by default as of that version, but to be done under wifi menu.
However… for 1 ax2, it’s not really worthwhile.
There will be zero benefit since both capsman environments are completely separate.
Can you point me into correct direction how to do this from the RB?

Do you maybe know how to disable local forwarding for Wave2 CAP’s?
It’s not. Why?
wave2 device only have local forwarding.
One of the capsman things which got lost moving to ax devices …
You can think out a complex scheme with EOIP or VLAN or any other tunneling protocol to controller but why bother ?
