RB1100AHx2. Cannot install routeros from netinstall

Hello.

After trying downgrade routeros to version 4.17 mikrotik RB1100AHx2 stop booting. I’ve tried to install 5.22 from netinstall but cannot install.

First I’ve formatted nand in boot menu.

Router appears in netinstall window with status “Ready”. I see “loading kernel from nand… kernel not found or data is corrupted” and after booting from ethernet “Waiting for installation server…” in console. During installation (I’ve tried to install different packages: system, routeros-powerpc etc) there are no text in console after “Waiting for installation server..”. After installation router stays with status “Ready” in netconsole. After reboot I see “loading kernel from nand… kernel not found or data is corrupted”.

What else can be done here?

Few things which are worth trying in Serial Console if you are sure Netinstall works correctly, i.e. it can reinstall other RouterBoards.

Press any key within 2 seconds to enter setup..

What do you want to configure?

  1. Reset Booter Configuration:

r - reset booter configuration

  1. Reinstall RouterBOOT bootloader with XMODEM transfer:

g - upgrade firmware
s - upgrade firmware over serial port
