I’m a newbie using mikrotik,
This model has been functioning for two years in a row using router os v6 long term, never had an issue with it. Unfortunately, most of our connections were based on pptp and old firewall rules. In a mission to grant encryption to our connection we started to implement some IPsec tunnels and looking for other ways to establish connection. And it worked so far, until we realized that most of our tunnels could be faster and secured if we just upgrade and use wireguard instead, so we did.
Unfortunately, ever since day one of the upgrade, memory leak has been an issue, now our main mikrotik can´t last a day or two without memory been drained out and crazy CPU usage, we can’t seem to find what exactly is causing that issue, and last update says it already resolved that issue, but our model still has the same problem, we raised a ticket last week but haven´t been responded. There are many old dated rules in our config, we are looking to optimize this config and figure out what is going on with our config
