What ist the best practice to setup VLANs on RB1100Dx4?
On Bridgeports ?
On Interfaces ?
On Switch ?
Sorry the are so much possibilities. On CRS3xx I found bridge is recommended since 6.41 - but what is on 1100x4 ?
You cannot use switch on this model because it has 3 Switch chips, Switch1 Port 1-5, Switch2 Port 6-10, Switch 3 Port 11-13, and if you will use switch ports between different switches will not communicate between each-other. You have to use Bridge!

Can I set up on ROS 6.47 as described for CRS3xx ?
Every ROS device can be configured in “CRS3xx way”, but for most devices this means massive performance degradation because all traffic then flows through CPU.
In your case you should do it like this:
- configure ports on individual switch chips in /interface ethernet sub-tree (i.e. the pre-6.41 way), set VLAN properties etc. And add switchX-cpu interfaces as tagged members of all VLANs which should span ports from multiple switch chips (or RB itself has to interact).
- configure bridge as non-vlan-aware and add all ports to it. Don’t worry, switch chips will take care of traffic they can and only pass to CPU the rest.
- for VLANs where RB has to interact (e.g. RB is routing traffic) add appropriate /interface vlan add interface=bridge vlan-id=XX name=vlanXX
After that take care about device connections, connect group of devices which communicate between each other to ports run by same switch chip.
