RB1200 and CPU 100%

I have RB1200, when rebooted, CPU is about 0-5%, after few hours it is permanently 100%, although RB is doing nothing (no users connected). Is there some way, how to find a reason? Thanks.

Go to Tools → Profile in WinBox to see which process is taking CPU.

Check rojterboard firmware and upgrade if possible.

Problem is with DHCP, it is using 85-95% CPU.
I have ether6 port as a WAN, ether7 port as LAN, on LAN port DHCP server is configured and ON. When I reboot RB, it is normal, when I enable LAN port (with DHCP server) within 1-60 minutes CPU is going to 85-95% and is keeping this CPU load even if there is no activity on the port.
Is there some bug?
There is the newest firmware 2.33.

Maybe it is..

But he is talking about DHCP Client, not Server and I don’t know which routerboard he is talking about. And I haven’t found any DHCP-related problems on my RB1200. I have DHCP Server active on switched ports (1-5) and on bridged ports 6+7. I don’t use DHCP Client, do you?

Try to contact support and let us know…

I don’t use DHCP client, but have fast answer from support:

v5.8 has this bug fixed, it’s caused by placing a DHCP server on an inactive interface. please wait until v5.8 is released.
