RB1200 constant reboots (kernel panic)

Hey guys,

I have a problem with a RB1200 after installing 5.8 and upgrading bootloader to 2.37. Basicly, the RB constantly reboots or freezes after 5-10 seconds after booting.

From serial console Im getting these errors as an example, each error was on a separate boot:

PowerPC Book-E Watchdog Exception

Boot configuration CRC error, applying defaults

Kernel panic - not syncing: kernel stack overflow
panicSaver: dumping panic to flash
flash: erase 10
flash: prg 10
flash: prg err 0
Rebooting in 1 seconds..

or the RB just freezes with console output like this:

Before 5.8 and bootloader 2.37 I had 3 months uptime. I didnt touch the configuration, just upgraded ROS and bootloader.

What can I do to fix this?

What verion you have before 5.8 and what bootloader? Try downgrade…

Was running 5.6 before, sadly, I dont remember what bootloader.

I uploaded the 2.37 bootloader again today through serial XMODEM, flashed NAND and NetInstall 5.8 and still the same problem. Guess I will try to do the same with older bootloader and 5.6 tommorow, if that doesnt work, RMA the board.

Anyone know where I can DL 5.6 npk and the appropriate bootloader? http://www.mikrotik.com/download.html doesnt have it as far as I can see.

Myslím že je zbytečné psát anglicky :slight_smile: Starší verzi bootloaderu nestáhneš - ta nikde není ke stažení.
Pokud už tam máš nahranou 5.6 tak zkus /system routerboard print
vypíše ti to aktuální verzi a tu na kterou bude upgradovat/downgradovat

a potom / system routerboard upgrade. Myslím že by jsi měl klesnout na tu nižší verzi ale nikdy jsem to nezkoušel

Ked som tak pozeral, tak link na momentalny bootloader 2.37 je http://routerboard.com/fwf/110/amcc460-2.37.fwf, ked v tejto linke vymenim verziu za nieco ine tak ju mozem v pohode stiahnut, ale tiez nechcem experimentovat s 5 bootloadermy, skusim 2.34 bootloader a 5.6 ROS, ked bude stale problem tak jednoducho to dam na RMA…

Mě to tak u bootloaderu nefunguje. Pokud to na konci změním na 34 tak se stejně stáhne poslední 2.37. Pokud se ti to tak povedlo tak dobrý…
