i am trying to get more ports than the 250gs has, can SwOS be loaded on a rb1200?
No it is not possible. SwOS works only on RB250GS.
dayas, but you can simply enable switching in RouterOS, you don’t need SwOS for that. RB1200 has RouterOS on it, it has more features than SwOS.
honestly the only feature i am looking for is to rate limit per port ingress and egress. the 1200 i imagine has that capability?
