Deployed the MK (server&client), the client MK just didn’t work; no matter what I did the PC always said network cable unplugged. And the green LED only lit once then off (after a short beep), the blue LED was always lit.
Get down the client, tested it on the office and (on 2nd tried) it worked …
Re-deployed … and it didn’t work again.
I’ve tested the LAN cable (both PoE and data) using LAN tester, all are fine. Did the client one was bricked?
Maybe the cable? straight or crossed? Maybe autoMDI/X does not work as expected on Tower (could be switch or whatever you connected the LAN Interface to?) choose other cable type, test other switch?
Power related Problem? POE voltage too low, cable to long?
If nothing of the above is the point, please give some more specs of your setup, crystal balls all around the world suffer from actually occuring solar activities, even my own is “blind” at the moment!
Ok, if the blue LED is lit permanently, then Power seems to be all right.
Did you test the RB133 in your Office with at least one of the two Laptops directly with the same cable as on your Client-Location? Or with a switch / Hub between or another cable or with an other Computer?
I suppose with Client and Server you mean in a wireless way as in Client and Access Point, right?
Only things that could be the problem:
RB133 LAN port
Cable
Notebook-LAN port
In Office:
First I would check RB with another cable directly to any of your Laptops if working or not
If working, check with the cable from client side, just to be sure it causes the trouble.
Second check RB with another PC or connected to a switch / hub to see if it works
If not working, check if Settings on RB and / or PC / Laptop are set for network card to 100Mbits full duplex or auto negotiate. Want to play with settings a bit (Always same Settings on RB and Laptop!)
By now you should be able to tell if RB is bricked (None of the above tests were succesful) or if Laptop and RB just don’t work well together, or if cable is bad
I don’t have any answers for you, but I can say that there is one site where I have a rb133c and I have experienced intermittent ethernet connectivity problems as well. Its taken a lot of time and it has been weird with more than one radio (of same type).

Some thoughts - One thing that came to mind is cable noise - on rare occassions in my experience I have had very noisy ethernet cables that would only really function on 10mb hdx - but I wrote this off because of no link light. Always, regardless of noise I had a link light - not the problem here.
Next, I just read a post last night that normis wrote I think that said the RB133 platform does not operate properly on 10MB. Not sure why they would develop new card with this issue present but thats what the post said. That being the case - was not the problem at this site. Just wanted to note it here for reference.
Lastly - could be auto-negotiate problem between devices. I’m not sure if the RB133 uses the same driver as the other MT boards like the 532 I have never had a problem with.
Never had any weirdness with RB532 boards. Regularly have strange things happen with RB133 boards?? I’ve accepted it as a you get what you pay for anomoly and still use them when the applicaiton calls for it.
I would like to know what the ethernet issue is though if we ever come to resolution other than (it was a bad board).
