RB133 UPGRADE FROM V3.3 TO 5.26 ERROR

This is on a rb 133 with version 2.9 and bootloader 2.18, it has R52 wifi card attached on it.
i was on version 2.9 and I went up to v 3.3,. then i update the license key by going to system update license key and then drop in 5.26 mipsle through the files and reboot and it says license does not support the new version of routeros 5.26.
The Log also says MB-Concentator initializing then MB-Concentrator dialing and MB-Concentrator Terminating not reachable.
Can anybody give me a way of upgrading the software to 5.26.
I have tried to figure out netinstall but I cannot get it to work.

Thanks,
Sharat

Do you really mean 3.3, or is it 3.30? You need the latter to get new software ID with eight characters (XXXX-XXXX). Then it should work, I personally upgraded few RB133s this way (2.9.x → 3.30 → 5.x).

Yes I have v 3.30, How do i get the 8 digit software ID?
How do i verify that 8 digit software ID.
Thanks,
Sharat

I have the 8 digit license key and it says below

upgradeable to v4x

and then it says level 4. But still cannot upgrade as log says syetm error license does not support new version of routeros-mipsle5.26

Thanks
Sharat

I’m sure (well, almost, it’s been some time since I last did this) that Upgradable To did not really block higher versions. But if I’m wrong, you can try to upgrade to 4.x first. You can find 4.17 in archive.

Thanks I got to v 4.17 now I am going to try v 5.26, will let you know if it works.
Thanks
Sharat

So Finally I got to v 5.26.
I went from v2.95 to v3.30 to v4.17 and finally to v5.26.

Thanks for your help.

Sharat

Maybe my memory is bad, I’d swear I upgraded from 3.30 directly to 5.x. Well, maybe not.
