RB133 & XR2 = Reboot Constantly!

Hi Guys,

A little freaked out, I have used XR2’s with 133s for a while, have about 50+ out working now.

I have a box of 20 x RB133 boards, and about 30 or so XR2 cards, all brand new.

With any combination of card and board, every time I try and enable a XR2 in the wireless table, router reboots immediately and comes back still disabled. Doesnt matter if I do it in the terminal or winbox, which slot the card is in, it seems to just keep rebooting. Sometimes it enables the card, then reboots, and other times it just constantly reboots as soon as routeros has loaded.

Insert Senao cards or r52’s without any issues at all in the same boards.

Anyone have any experience with this, is it the new RB13 boards, new XR2 cards, firmware ???

I have tried firmwares 2.9.38,2.9.43,2.9.46,2.9.48 all with the same results.

please write to support with serial number – also, try with an XR2 card that works on other boards (they may have changed something)

normally it’s because the power is not enough for the XR2, check using short UTP cable, maybe the cable is too long.

@hotspotsolutions the Senao cards you are using are they the 400mW ones? I intend to run RB333 with 3 Senao 400mW cards in each, just wondering is I will have any problems.
