RB133c Wireless CPE Auth problem

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to get working a RB133c set as CPE and equipped with RouterOS 3.4.
It has to register to a RB333 equipped wit Router OS 3.2, working as AP bridge.

No security profile are set on both, but what I get on RB133c log is this:

01:28:00 wireless, info 00:0C:42:18:E1:94@wlan1: failed to connect, on 2442, authentication timeout
01:28:03 wireless, info 00:0C:42:18:E2:4C@wlan1: failed to connect, on 2462, authentication timeout

The configuration is the same on both MT box, but of course RB333 is set as AP Bridge (Level 5 license) and RB133c is set as station (Level 3 license).

Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks
Alessio

It was a hardware problem.
The CPE received a very good signal and than It tried to join the network, but the R52H card mounted on it wasn’t working good and than the other side didn’t receive anything.
So the authentication handshake went in timeout.

Thank your for posting this. Helped me diagnose a bad XR5 I received recently.

I left it on purpose.
It’ll be not so happy who sold you the XR5

Hi guys

I have a RB411 and also get that authentication timeout message all the time and my wlan1 doesn’t connect - just keeps on “searching for network”, and I’ve spent the past 3 days trying to get this setup working - even had an experienced network engineer assist me via email, by sending screenshots of my setup. In the end he had me reset the router completely and then enter a list of commands that he sent back, but still no joy. So now, after reading your posts, I suspect that I might have faulty equipment (brand new BTW) and will contact the vendor to test & replace it on Monday! If that turns out to be the problem and a replacement solves it, I owe you a big thank you!

Neels.

I’m pleased if this will help you.
