RB14, high pings

Right now I have a CM9 in an RB14, with a pigtail and small antenna connected to it. I’m using a Belkin 802.11b/g usb adapter on my desktop. I’m getting an excellent signal (48 SNR). (We’re doing this indoors while we test.) Ping times are great. We’re seeing 1 to 3ms…and out of no where, 1,000ms or higher. We’ve moved the hard drive and RB14/CM9 to another PC and it’s still doing it.

Any help is appeciated.

I’m sorry, I forgot to mention, we’re running the CM9 in B-only mode.

I’ve messed around with the settings when I had it on both computers, still no luck.

I was pinging the AP (my computer[usb adapter] ~~~ mikrotik pc[rb14/cm9]) and it’ll ping about 60 times at 1 to 3ms and then jump to 1,000ms or higher (give or take about 300ms) and go back to pinging another 60 times at 1 to 3ms.

Is there anything I can tweak? Is there some sort of RTS setting on mikrotik?

Anything suggested, has probably already been tried. The current exact configuration is above.
