I have an RB150 with an unknown password. I have tried everything (reset button, reset boards, pulling the power and all combinations there of) to blow away the config with no luck… is there some secret way to clear these broads?
Erik
No, The only way of recovering a lost password off a routerboard is reinstaill the OS with netinstall Here is a good turtorial of HOW to reinstall the OS http://www.miro.co.za/manuals/What_Do_I_Do_If_I_Have_Forgotten_My_MikroTik_Password.pdf And here is the link to download Netinstall and Your Router OS http://www.mikrotik.com/download.html I beleive when it prompts you if it should save previous configuration to say No and that will wipe the system to factory username and password. Good luck -Jordan
Simple enough… done that before … I just assumed it would be doable through a “clear cmos jumper”…
Thanks
