RB150 Firmware problem with ROS3.7

I read recently (I can’t find it now) where someone had a problem upgrading the firmware in the 3.7 release on the RB150. After upgrade RB doesn’t boot. I am confirming same behavior.

Apparently they said ros3.7 wasn’t the problem, it was the latest firmware in the 3.7 that caused the problem. I haven’t netinstalled yet to fix but I did want to confirm that this is a problem as stated by the other forum member.

Here is the way how it is possible to get router back [with 2.13 version];

  • hold on reset button, button is located near to Ethernet port Leds and power jack, look at http://www.routerboard.com to get more information about reset button;
  • backup BIOS will be loaded;
  • download new firmware from http://www.routerboard.com [2.14 version].
  • Upload 2.14 file to router’s FTP and use ‘system routerboard upgrade’ after reboot, router will have 2.14 version

Thanks sergejs,

If you wouldn’t mind taking an extra few seconds to tell me how to use the reset button procedure to do what you asked that would be appreciated. That or point me to the actual page that already has the info. I just searched through routerboard.com as directed to no avail.

Normally I’d tesk instead of asking since it only takes a few minutes, but I prefer not to have to send my rb150 back for rma because I did not follow the appropriate directions to fix it.

Thanks
