RB153 locks up randomly, possibly client issue?

We have a RB153 showing wierd problems.

It seems that the board will stay up and work fine for a while but then just die, we will not be able to reconnect until it is reset (power removed & reapplied)

What I did notice however is that there is ONE client which CONSTANTLY tries to associate, looking at the logs it seems that it's trying to reassociate every second or two. Connect, Disconnect in the same second. it pops in the registration list @ -95 signal, then drops.

Can a client trying to associate so much possibly overwhelm the OS and cause it to lock up?

We're using:
RB153

one sr9 @ 900mhz
two r52's @ 2.4ghz
the client in question is a 900mhz client
ROS version 2.9.50 (we cannot upgrade to 3.1, already tried... it breaks our 900mhz infrastructure until we can upgrade everything on our net)

I'll take any and all ideas here... I'm dumbfounded by this one. Thanks!

nobody?

I removed the offending client but it didn’t work. The board stayed up for about 6 hours then locked up and just won’t respond anymore.

HELP! we’re losing pepole over this.

what packages are installed?try to remove unneeded.if you dont use nat, disable connection tracking.try to do /system check-installation. have you tryed reset config?

absolutley amazing.

I disabled connection tracking and could not believe my eyes how much the CPU load went down. we’re talking from 70-80% down to 5-10% utilization now.

This may be the thing…
