what (built-in)profiler says in terms of distribution of load between subsystems?
and how same numbers(in percentage, too) in system-resources?
p.s.
did you firewalled NTP and DNS from outside, for example? did you had (even minimalistic)DDoS blackholing and port-scan blacklisting? do you had pre-emptive fw block against kernel exploitation(or relatively old kernel in RoS)? and etc and etc
