I have a RB2011, I have two.
I was working with USB modems config. (LTE dongle)
Clicked “check for Update”, on the quick menu, the update down loaded and installed (or so I thought)
Now when I start Winbox (v3.11) it connects for 2 seconds, then self disconnects.
During the brief connection, I can see the MAC address is 00:00:00:00:00, IP 0.0.0.0, the full quick config is missing, and I don’t have time to reset the config
Did the update “brick” my RB2011?
How do I recover ?
I have tried to Netinstall but it leaves me with the same condition (disconnection after 2 sec., no IP or MAC)
Is this a known issue?
Please help, I don’t want to throw this one away…

Unless VERYYYYYY unlucky, I’ve rarely seen a broken RB because of an upgrade. Am altered configuration maybe, but not broken hardware.
Have you tried MACWinbox? Click on the “Neighbors” tab of Winbox, then “Refresh” if the list is empty and see if your RB2011 shows up. You probably know this but for MACWinbox discovery to work, your PC has to be physicaly pluged to the RB2011.
If you still have problem, go the RS-232 (console) way. You can’t get kicked out of that!

Yes, I have Ethernet into Ether2 or Ether1, does not seem to have the fire wall running, so either one works the same.
RS232?..I will need to order the hardware (USB to RS232, and cable for Cisco switch) anyone have that handy?
