Hi everyone,
I have an RB2011 with the 5 Gbs ports and 5 100Mbs ports and they exhibit their full bandwidth with a PC plugged into the ports but when I plug an Access point into any of the ports the port slows to 10Mbs. It happens with a Ubiquiti UAP LR and with an Apple Airport Extreme AC.
Setup is Brighthouse with their router in bridge mode and it passing a public IP to the MikroTik then the MikroTik in fairly default configuration DHCPs to the clients MAC address reservations for CE gear for control purposes. Eth0 is the Brighthouse input, Eth1 is a 16 Port Cisco 100 series with the entertainment center items plugged into it, Eth2 is a 5 port Netgear with the rest of the data ports of the house plugged into it. The Ubiquiti was DHCP through the Netgear and the Airport Extreme is DHCP direct connect to the MikroTik. If I plug the Air Port Extreme into one of the Brighthouse switch ports I get my full bandwidth of 150 Mbps to my wireless clients but when I plug it into one of the Gb ports of the MikroTik I manage only 10Mbs, I then take it out of that port and plug in my pc and I get 150 Mbs speed test then plug the AP back into that same port and back to 10Mbs.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
GeoffQ
Bump..
I missed when this got approved, any help?
Hi,
please check if the speed and duplex auto-negotiation actually negotiated 1GB/100MB full duplex on the affected port.
It looks like there might be a negotiation problem between your RB and the AP you’re using.
You can try disabling auto-negotiation for this ethernet port and setting it to 100MB full-duplex or 1GB full-duplex.

No luck… DHCP server would not pass IP to AP at all. No interent connection when switched to 1 Gps and auto negotiate off.
