Hi,
it seems that some other users having port trouble with Mikrotik devices http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/new-ethernet-port-flap-issue-enquiery-pls-join/49200/1 and by coincidence I spoke with another user last week who is having port problems as well.
Since a few weeks ago (RouterOS 6.37 / 6.37.1?) we experienced the following problems:
RB2011UAS-RM
When connected to ether1 the router does not power up, if we plug the cable into ether2 everything works. Putting in into ether1 turns it off.
RB2011UAS-2HnD
When connected to ether1 the router does not power up, if the router is and we plug into ether1 it stays on.
RB2ß11UiAS-RM
From time to time the ether6 ports flaps (losing PPPoE connection), never happens if we use ether7, …
My question is this a hardware problem or related to the RouterOS? Because it all started recently, but not on all devices, which leaves a bad taste.
I’am concerned updating any machine remotely, because this would losing connectivity as the worst case.
Thanks.
