I have a Mikrotik RB2011 which has started having really bad wireless performance over the past couple of months. All wireless clients experience variable speeds but typically it is less than 1Mbps with frequent dropouts whereas it would normally be 30-40Mbps+. Wired clients connected to the RB2011 have no issues. It is running RouterOS v6.46.4.
I also have a hAP ac² which sits next to the RB2011 (different network) and the wireless speeds are reliable/consistent and clients can achieve 60-70Mbps without issue.
I have tried tweaking pretty much every configuration option for the wireless interface on the RB2011 and nothing seems to improve things. I have also tried mirroring the wireless settings from the hAP ac² on the RB2011 but this didn’t help.
Can anyone suggest what I can do to try and troubleshoot/resolve this? The only idea I have at this point is to buy another hAP ac² (or similar) to replace the RB2011 but it would be nice if I could fix it without having to do that.
If there’s any diagnostic information I can provide just let me know.
Thanks,
Chris
