Why can i not this routerboard use as one switch?

Why Master-port 1 and 2,3,4,5 as slave ports and master-port 6 and slave ports 7,8,9,10
I bridge ether 1 with ether6 and than worked but why not

master-port 1 and slave ports 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10?

Is there a explane for that?

Because there are two independent switches. So it is by design. I would also rather have one big gigabit switch than two small switches in one box. But actually there is crs125 that can be used instead.
