RB2011iL bottleneck to 400mbps internet connection

This seems like a pretty beginner question, I want to make sure I’m not missing something here, so thanks in advance for hearing me out
I am using my RB2011iL with a Charter/Spectrum 400mbps internet connection… with a laptop hard wired connected directly to the modem, I’ll see 350mbps+ download… with the RB in the equation I’m seeing 85-108 max. I’m only using port 1 and 2 on the RB, and both interfaces are showing Rate of 1Gpbs on the web interface. CPU is showing max 60% during a speed test. Memory is ok.
I’m ok upgrading to a more capable unit, but I don’t want to just try buying something new without knowing exactly what’s serving as the bottleneck.

Any help is much appreciated!

Enable fast track!

You forgot to include your config.
Did you update the RouterOS? Did you recently reset it to defaults?

look under 512 byte, routing performance

A 2011iL isn’t what I would use in 2020 for a 400Mbps line… definitely enabling fasttrack, and tuning the firewall would be a must, but even though, don’t expect 400Mbps performance.

How do you get your internet IP? pppoe? if so, expect around 150-250Mbps max with tuning.

I’d get an HeX straight away and leave that 2011iL as switch and don’t look back.

This. Or a hAP ac². Only a little more and will do 400Mbps standing on its head.
