We recently bought several RB2011LN’s to add to our existing connexin FttH network as CPE client devices.
When we tried to connect the TP link MC220L to the RB2011LN we found that the two devices were unable to communicate with each other through the SFP port, even though the TP Link MC220L could see the link was
active.
We used the same SFP’s to connect two RB2011LN’s and all worked perfectly, so we knew the SFP’s worked with the MikroTik equipment.
After a lot testing, ticking and unticking various boxes, we found that all that needs to be unchecked for the two units to work with each other is the “auto negotiation” check box.
- Open the interface box
- double click on SFP
- Select “Ethernet” tab
- Ensure that the speed is set 1Gb
- Untick the “Auto Negotiation” box
The above procedure should allow any fixed rate media converter to communicate with the RB2011LN
Hope this is of use to other people trying to use these units together
