I have a need for a 8-port layer 2 switch and I was looking at the RB2011. I have done a little reading in the forms and have read the switch chip features wiki and looked over the RB2011 block diagram.
As I understand the unit has two switch chips a 8327 for the gig ether1-5&SFP ports and a 8227 for 10/100 ether6-10.
The switch chip wiki doesn’t show any spanning of the two chips. Could I bridge the two or somehow or use trunking between them?
