Yesterday i have called my supplier for another RB2011UAS-2HnD, and i’ve got an answer that they doesn’t have any of these anymore, after that i’ve found another phone number of supplier, and he told me that these RB’s with wifi are defective, all are canceled, and resend to factory, and new ones with some problems with Wifi fixed will be delivered in october?
That wouldn’t be a problem, but, last week i’ve installed new RB2011UAS-2HnD for my client, with wifi…
So maybe anybody knows what kind of bug is it? should I be worried?
This is wrong information. RB2011 don’t have any issues with wireless. I don’t know what reasons your reseller has for spreading such rumors, maybe they want to sell you some other product? The only reason for availability issues at the moment, is the new case design, which was mentioned in another forum topic. Case design is being improved, and new design cases are slightly delayed.
Folks here need to understand how these things are made. Take ASUS for example, the largest motherboard manufacture. They have (confirmed via puget systems) 1/25 that have something wrong with them. That is a lot!
If MikroTik QC’d every single part in such a way that no bad part was ever sent out, you would not be happy with the price. Every time you buy an electronic component (from any brand) you are the secondary QC person. Now, chin up and do your job well … test it, send it back for a replacement if you discover a fault.
2011L routers became stable with 6.2 (after cca. 1 year since production started)
4 our of 6 routers 2011L that we bought were randomly rebooting, 1 went completelly dead after installing 6.2 with netinstall and is totally locked, we took others out of production
case design is such that you need it to unscrew in order to unplug ac/dc adapter (i hear this will or has already been changed)

I agree and I know that techical stuff is subject to have errors out of the box also. But, the Asus made no problems regarding warranty, Mikrotik almost always did. Remember the capacitor problems with 411 series? Mikrotik declined all warranties. We had to change the capacitors ourselves (200 units!) and this I will never forget.
I total I love Mikrotiks, but 2011xx didn’t came close to satisfying me.
Sorry, but to me it seems that #1 and #2 contradict each other. You say that it became stable in v6.2, but you also say, that your routers “locked up” in v6.2 ? Have you contacted support about it? I use RB2011 at home, and at work, they both work flawlessly, each with a different config.
i don’t know what was the problem mentioned with their boxes before, but in my case, one of the antennas was touching U.FL and you can crimp that pigtail if you turn one antenna more.., and the case in that place was little bit out of his place, little bit curved back.
so maybe that is not a system/ or hw problem, but still
The RB2011L were randomly rebooting before 6.2. At 6.2 the random rebooting stopped, but 1 of the routers I upgraded was locked up with netinstall, others were working OK afterwards. I don’t see any contradiction.
