RB2011UAS-2HnD i want to use some port like switch

hello

i have the RB2011UAS-2HnD and i want to use :

port 1 - public static ip
port 2,3,4 - i want to use like switch and connect another device with public ip

and after that for port 5,6,7,8 i want to use to conect local adress 192.168.88.x with dhcp , and for wireless two.

it is that posible ? thanks

In the interface window
Set Port 1 as Master Port for ports 2, 3 , and 4.
Set Port 6 as Master Port for ports 7, 8 and 9. Put the DHCP server on the master port (6)

This is possible because ports 1 through 5 are on one switch chip and 6 to 10 are on another. This is the best way to create a switch setup as it’s done in hardware. You can also create bridge interfaces that will act like a switch for any of the ports added to it, but will impact the performance of the router since it’s done in software.

Also a reminder that ports 1-5 are gigabit and 6-10 are 100mb so keep that in mind if you need higher transfer speeds on the devices plugged into the DHCP switch. Personally I use ports 6-10 for WAN type interfaces as we don’t have ISP’s that can offer higher than 50mbps.
