RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN major problems

Hello all!
I just purchased an RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN, I plugged in an ethernet cable from ports 2-10 and powered on the unit.
Waited and waited and waited for ever for my PC to get an IP Address… nothing happened.
I tried to reset to the unit as per LAME instruction guide and for the life of me I do not understand where these GREEN LED lights are that I am supposed to monitor for for when I am supposed to let go of the reset button.
I tried every combination to RESET, to get Netinstall to see the router without any luck.

This thing is DEAD!!! in the water, whats wrong here?
ALSO! the LCD Screen on the unit always says (Interface Down!) tried to search that term everywhere on the net and nothing comes up, there is no reference to this error message anywhere.

Am I shit out of luck here or what?

Thanks in advance for anyones help.

Using the console connection in the back. What does the CLI say?

Please disregard this entire POST!, but on the otherhand it is a note to others that maybe some of these units come in corrupted.

Anyway!!! I resolved my problem, I took a break and cooled my head and went back and tried the same procedure again, and finally this time the Netinstall saugh the Router and I was able to upload the latest software and voila the dam thing actually worked and I was able to reset the dewfault configuration.

Thank you very much for the quick reply.

I have the same model and am happy to hear that you were able to get it working. The entire RB2011 lineup offers great hardware and is an incredible value.

I just configured an RB-2011 and it didn’t come with the DHCP configured. I just set my computer to 192.168.88.10 and wnt from there

Glad to hear that you resolved it, perhaps I was experiencing the same problem. But I beleive that mine went deaper than that as my NetInstall could not even see the router at all. I think that the configuration on mine was corrupted and when I finally was able to reset the unit, NetInstall was able to see it by MAC Address and I was able to upload the latest RouterOS version.
