RB2011UAS-2HnD problem

I am very new to Mikrotik and Routerboard. I did some research online and recently obtained a RB2011UAS-2HnD.

When I first booted up the LCD stated INTERFACE ERROR. I connected it to my home network and connected to the IP listed on the box - 192.168.88.1.

I connected without issue and tried to renew the WAN IP. This was unsuccessful so I tried resetting my Motorola cable modem. I tried this unsuccessfully a couple times and then powered everything off for dinner.

When I came back and powered up the routerboard the LCD displayed the same information but my connected PC’s no longer pull an IP from it.

I tried resetting the routerboard using the button and resetting the device however it will not dish out an IP. I tried a static IP and still can not connect via the web interface. I tried multiple cables, multiple ports on the routerboard and computers to no avail.

Am I resetting the device wrong or is there a chance this device is broken? Is there anything else I missed?

Thank you,

Jack

I sorted this out during the review period and I apologize for posint so swiftly.

I wasnt shorting the CMOS reset appropriately, and once I did this I was back up and running.

Cheers
