Hi all,
I am looking at using a RB2011UAS-RM as an agg switch where I would have one on the roof in an enclosure and another in the building basement. The two 2011’s would be interconnected with fiber, both would be configured with the gig ports on the switch chip and no other configurations other than a management IP on the fiber interface. Can I expect to see wire speed performance with this setup? The performance data at http://routerboard.com/RB2011UAS-RM shows 126mbps in bridge mode. I am simply using this as a fiber to copper converter and only using the gig ports.
Deleted because not related.
the bridge gives about 200 to 300 mbps in your config but you can use a switched configuration and then you will get wire speed.
