I have a RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN (ROS 6.48.6) and an APC Back-UPS CS 350 with an original USB cable.
I installed the ups package, connected the UPS but the UPS is not detected in ROS. I used the original micro USB to USB adapter.
The port on the RB is OK, if I connect an USB to serial dongle, an USB keyboard or an USB flash drive, all are detected in ROS (System/Resources/USB)
The UPS and cable are also OK, I tested them connected to a PC.
If I power down the RB, connect the UPS and power up the RB, not even the USB port is visible in System/Resources/USB.
I upgraded ROS to 7.2.1, that didn’t help too.
What could be the problem?

I was able to fix the problem by connecting the UPS through an USB hub.
It seems the problem is that the UPS is USB1.1. (I had the same problem with my USB1.1 weather station connecting to meteohub)
Now all seems to work but I have one additional question - why is there an exclamation mark on the UPS?
