RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN configuration home AP

Hello! I have problem with RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN . This is my first meeting with MikroTik device… till’ now i have worked with gigaset, zyxel, Edimax… and more.
Now I get this router for free and i want to get some skills with this router. So please write everything cuz i don’t know much about it…

What I wanna do?
for now i just want set this router as AP in my house and limit wireless speed on 10mbit download and 100kbit upload. I try like 20 times reset configuration and try again and again. But here is just too many options (what is really good when you know how to use it) I have watched tutorials and everything… but no help soo I need help from you!

In future when i will know a bit better this router I will call my ISP to put my Zyxel in brigde and my Rb2011 will be main router but that is just my wish for now…

Soo… my router is now on default configuration, what to do? and in which eth port plug in LAN cabel from my main zyxel ?

My zyxel is 192.168.5.1

Thanks for your time, Jan.

If you want to learn, you should start with blank and not with default config… Queues are not working for fasttracked connections.

Alright, when i login with Winbox it comes pop-up if i want to remove script, that is how i can remove config? and start from blank ?

And what to do next?

thanks

Well… Home AP I need today, if noone have time to write details how to do it can somebody create config … ?

Thanks

If you just need an home Ap, use quickset.

I tried… and my computer is showing that he have internet but i can’t opet google.com, i try ping also but no respond… unreachable…

I need AP with limit speed on eth port 3 and wifi 10mbit

Thats something you need some knowledge for. You can try and learn using the manual and forum or you can hire a consultant if you need your solution quickly.

There are no fast and safe solutions, that you can just copy and paste without knowing your local situation…

Why can’t just somebody create config like this:

Am I different or something?

If you look closer, that user created his configuration and then posted it for others to review.

So, no, you are not different. You have to create your configuration yourself :sunglasses:
