Hello everyone,

I have an RB2011 with wireless and 5 1Gb en 5 100Mb ports.
Ether1 is the gateway to the internet with PPPOE
Ether 2 is a master port
Ether 3,4,5 are setup to have ether 2 as master port
Ether 6 is master
Ether 7,8,9,10 are setup to have ether 6 as master port

Ether2, 6, and PPPOE connection are in a bridge.
Now the speed over LAN is only about 430-450 Mb/s
with my previous router i can achieve 900 Mb/s top copy files from my NAS
So it is not problem with the cables etc…

Is this RB able to achieve Gigabit speeds between two clients or is there something wrong with my configuration? Even when i factory reset the device i can only achieve this speeds.

Why do you use a gigabit interface as WAN
Is the internet connection more than 100 Mbit?
If this is not the case, it makes no sense to use a gigabit port as wan

Use ether1 as master and set ether2,3,4,5,6 as slave
Then you use 1 swich chip group
Try this out please

Wow indeed
I’ve placed my wan (max 70mbit) to ether6 and placed ether1 as master of 2,3,4,5.
Now i’m reaching Gigabit speeds between my desktop and NAS without any CPU load!
