RB250GS is not resetting , and not working after 1.8

Hi there

I have 5 RB250Gs ,

after uploading the new firmware
one of The devices became unresponsive

when i boot the device , the act led just goes blinking like crazy and i’m unable to access the device


I tried the 2 reset ways with no response ?

Did my switch die :slight_smile: ??

Fast blinking of the ACT led means RB250GS is requesting a firmware file.
You can recover it with reinstallation procedure: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/SwOS#Reinstall_SwOS_firmware

Thanks for reply .. but unfortunately the switch did not respond to tftp upload

kept blinking like crazy and i waited 10 minutes then rebooted the switch

same crazy blinking syndrome :slight_smile:

TFTP upload should happen in few seconds, it is not worth waiting longer than a minute. :slight_smile:
Perhaps there is a communication problem between router and RB250GS. Check DHCP server configuration and make sure it has “bootp-support=dynamic”.

I’ve made sure of all settings

I also found that dhcp ranges was wrong in the
Wiki explanation and I corrected it

Bootp was enabled and dynamic

Any other suggesdions
