First off, hi! First time poster here.
So, here is the situation: I work for a small ISP and we are looking at using the RB260GS at a site where we need to offer four ports in each residential unit. The features of the RB260GS seem to suit our needs and my testing so far has been positive. The plan is to feed each unit with a trunk connection with three vlans - one mgmt. vlan for the switch, one customer vlan, and one remedial vlan for customers who break the rules (DMCA violations and such).
The good news is that all of this was easily set up and worked dandy with one exception: when I update the management IP and move it to the mgmt. VLAN, the switch will no longer authenticate me. Yes, I updated the password and can log in fine over VLAN1, but as soon as I move the mgmt. IP to a VLAN other than 1, I cannot authenticate. Any thoughts on why this is so? We have a workaround, if needed, but would love to keep things consistent with our other networks. I updated the switch to SWOS 1.9 and the problem remained.
Thanks in advance for any help.
