RB260GS old vs new distinction

I’m looking to buy a used RB260GS but I’m unsure if it’s an older or newer version.

Is there any way to distinct them, just have the S/N and picture of the model label. Would assume the webui could tell me, but otherwise there is not a lot of information online

As far as I know the “old” version of the RB260GS was the RB250GS. I’m not aware of two RB260 versions.

https://mikrotik.com/download suggests otherwise:

version 1.17 for RB250GS download
version 1.17 for RB260GS, RB260GSP download
version 2.11 for new RB260GS(CSS106-5G-1S), new RB260GSP(CSS106-1G-4P-1S)

I am thinking about buying a RB260GS too, but I am not sure what I’ll get.

The trick is on the model number: CSS106-5G-1S. But I don’t think You will find an old one to buy: this is an old entry. I bought one CSS106-5G-1S more than a year ago - and this warning was already online.

Old post, but was without clear answer:
I just bought few used RB260GS. One of them was newer CSS106. The differences I spotted:

  1. Front right top: Name of the older was RouterBOARD260GS, newer one was simply RB260GS.
  2. Under: Serial sticker in newer one had 2 MAC addresses, kind of QR code and serial number. Older one simply MAC and serial number.
