I just bought a couple of these switches and I’m already flummoxed. It seems simple enough to access the configuration page. The wiki says, “Open your web browser and enter IP address of your Switch (192.168.88.1 by default) and login screen will appear.” and I’ve done that–several times but I’ve yet to see a login screen appear. I just keep getting either a timed out or reset message. I’m connected straight to the switch from my laptop with an ethernet cable.

I even tried connecting it straight to a port on my modem, a cable from it to my laptop, and I still got nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

Try to set IP address 192.168.88.2 to your computer, if you are connected to SwOS device directly.
After it remote access should work fine.

I can’t. If I go in my router to assign a static IP the first three fields are 192.168.0 and cannot be edited.

Is there another way? Can I do it with winbox? The switches are working; it’s just I can’t interact with the switch itself.

I think I may have figured out what I was doing wrong. Will post back when I get home.
