RB260GS V1.17 VLAN how to

Hello,

i need to be 100% sure… can somebody help me with VLAN settings on RB260GS?

SFP port is uplink port, connected to EdgeCore switch with VLAN 2990 tagged (iptv) default 1 (net), 110 tagged (management)

i need to set RB260GS to have port 1 and port 4 with tagged 2990 VLAN and on port 5 untaged 2990.

Is it set correctly?

  • VLAN mode STRICT or ENABLE?


  • 2990 VLAN when tagged ADD IF MISSING or LEAVE AS IS?


  • 2990 VLAN when untaged ALWAYS STRIP?

I can tell you that is not how I have my RB260 set up. Frankly, I am a bit confused about what you are trying to accomplish. I am assuming that your SFP port (which you state is your uplink), is connected to a smart device. If that’s the case, why do you have any non-tagged traffic on that port. Are the devices on ports 1 - 5 smart (i.e. VLAN aware)?, and do they need to have more than one VLAN. Assuming that ports 1 - 5 are all “client” type devices, generally they are not VLAN aware, so I’m kind of wondering.
Give a little more info and I can better answer your questions.
