RB260GS. Why won't you reset?

I am assessing this unit and deliberately locked myself out to test the reset procedure (no, really). Holding down the reset button only gets me to the firmware upgrade mode. I’ve tried to short circuit the board by delicately yet brutally shoving a hex key into the hole on the bottom repeatedly and with an increasing savagery to no avail. I’m currently trying to reinstall the OS using routerOS but it’s not having it. Here are the details on the connected routerboard:

/file
swos-rb260-1.10.lzb .lzb file

/ip address
address=10.10.10.1/24 disabled=no interface=ether9 network=10.10.10.0

/ip dhcp-server
address-pool=test_dhcp_eth9 authoritative=after-2sec-delay bootp-lease-time=forever bootp-support=dynamic disabled=no interface=ether9 lease-time=3d name=test_DHCP_eth9

/ip dhcp-server network
address=10.10.10.0/24 dhcp-option=“” dns-server=“” gateway=10.10.10.1 ntp-server=“” wins-server=“”

/ip pool
name=test_dhcp_eth9 ranges=10.10.10.50

/ip tftp
allow=yes allow-rollover=no disabled=no ip-addresses=10.10.10.50 read-only=yes real-filename=swos-rb260-1.10.lzb req-filename=“”

/ip dhcp-server lease
10.10.10.50 00:00:00:00:01:01 test_DHCP_eth9

It picks up an IP but the TFTP server process doesn’t record any ‘hits’. Any ideas folks?

I’ve had no problem with factory reset on mine. You have to unplug the unit, then insert a paperclip or a pen or something to hold down the reset button as you plug the unit back in. You need to hold the reset button in for about 5-7 seconds or so. If you think something’s not working quite right, wire up a PC with Wireshark to the switch and watch it ARP as the switch boots.

I’m fairly new to MikroTik products, so I locked myself out several times before I figured out how to set up the config I wanted, but I never had a problem resetting to factory default.
