RB260GSP configuration via winbox

Hello together,

I am currently trying to set up my home network, but having some troubles to configure all switches and caps. My set up is as following:
1x TP Link Archer C9 as router
1x MT css326 24 as switch
2x Cap AC for Wifi access and
1x MT RB260GSP as power supply for those access points.

So my basic idea was to use the RB260GSP as CAPSman (is that even possible?) to configure both Cap Ac. Which lead to the first problem:
I am not able to connect neither to css326 or RB260GSP via winbox. I mean it´s connecting but instead of winbox it leads to the web gui.
I have searched for tutorials and the internet but couldn’t find anything. Neither mentioning that it´s impossible to configure those via winbox nor how I should configure them to use winbox instead of the web gui.

So my question would be:

  • Is it possible to use RB260GSP as CAPSman to configure my access points (just to have one the possibility to add more to the network using one configuration)
  • Is it possible to configure both switches via winbox or is it just possible to do it via web gui?

I guess those questions are very fundamental but I couldn´t get any hint from any resource.

NO, sorry the 260GS is a great option to provide POE to the capac ( I have that in my house ) but the 260GS is an el cheapo switch that does NOT have ROS.
Its a great little device once you get used to its quirkiness as once setup its rock solid.
For only two Capacs, I would not worry about using capsman anyway, its a level of complication that I have no interest in mastering since I only have two capacs.

One does not configure the switch thru winbox, its a straight get to it via IP address situation.

Anav is right. Both your switches are SwitchOS only and therefore they are configured exclusively via the web GUI. BTW, I have several CSS326 and a CSS106 (and another of it’s predecessor the RB260GS) and they work quite well as a managed VLAN switch.
