I tried connecting 2 - RB260GSP’s via the SFP port with matching Cisco SFP’s and though in the GUI the SFP’s were recognized I could not get them to talk. Are these Microtik switches incompatible with Cisco SFP’s? I was basically trying to use the switches as media converters.
Why not get the mikrotik sfp’s? I recently put 2 x rb260’s into service for your very reason. Worked flawlessly.
If you aren’t getting a link with the Cisco sfp’s, if day they aren’t compatible.
The Mikrotik SFP’s worked fine. There must be a compatibility issue with the Cisco SFP’s. Thanks for the response!
