Dear Forum members,
I need some information, does RB260GSP switch support VOIP? I tried with cisco phones, but it won’t work. On switch trunk port, i made tagged vlan 28 for voip and tagged 41 vlan for PC’s. On access port I made tagged vlan 28 and untagged 41 vlan. But IP phone not works. Can anyone know answer? Does mikrotik swOS support lldp-med?
Thank You.
The RB260GSP’s PoE is 24v, it won’t power Cisco phones.
They don’t support LLDP-MED.
They support VoIP (as all switches would?)
If DHCP Option 66 is used on data vlan and network is configured so data network devices can access provisioning, then out-of-the-box phones can auto-provision themselves while on the data lan. Provisioning can include a vlan tag id. The phone will reboot after provisioning and now your phone is on the phone lan.
Or a mac-based vlan.
Thank You VAN9018,
The POE for phones it’s not important, for testings i used external power supply.
In our company environment we use HP switches and HP have special Voice vlan mode. What I understand voice vlan enabling some function such as LLDP-med and QoS. And after that Phones cant auto-provision themselves and it works. On our DHCP server doesn’t have enbaled 66 option.
Our PBX server working on hosting company. And they are made configuration based on phones mac.
Hi
this is a important feature if we want to deploy CSS Switches with POE, without Voice Vlan feature, via LLDP ou OUI-Mac based, its very dificult to choose mikrotik POE switches.
is this feature in Roadmap?
thanks in adv.
