good morning, I performed bandwidth tests on various devices including rb2011 and rb3011. in rb2011 I have about 200mbps of throughput with pppoe. if I enable fast track again with pppoe I get almost 700mbps. in bridging we are around 860mbps and I would say it’s fine. Doing the same tests on the rb3011 I find strange behavior. in pppoe I have about 500mbps. if I enable fast track, the throughput remains exactly the same, I notice a slight drop in CPU load but the 3011 is unable to process more data. in bridging it reaches 1gbps without problems.
PPPOE is single core so you will be limited to one core of your CPU. When you do a PPPOE test on your rb3011 can you check how high on of your CPU core is?
after verification. isn’t it always single core on 2011? because in that case I don’t encounter problems in fast track
There are known performance issues in the RB3011, especially when running RouterOS v7.
Use v6 (6.49.15) for best performance.
