Our RB3011 on one of our sites took hit from lightning. Since it’s not under warranty anymore I took it home to take a closer look. Now, there’s Hex doing all the work. I’ve opened RB3011 and noticed one of the microchips melted, blown away, went to chip Valhalla, whatever you call a place where microchips go. I’m sending the pictures in imgur link here. Can anybody identify this chip so I can give it to a friend for fixing? I can’t read from it since it’s blown.
I’d appreciate any kind of info that will lead to reviving RB3011.
It is very likely indeed that other components have been impacted too and that this voltage-regulator was the most visible one
But hey, its only a 70 cent part and some easy soldering-work
